The abbreviation for MITS stands for Micro Instrumentation Telemetry Systems. This Altair8080 was a calculator, which reduced the financial difficulties. Ed Roberts was solely responsible for developing such company MITS in the year seems to be in-between of 1960’s. The company was mainly deals for producing a calculator at a price of about 100 dollars, but it stopped its operations. Before producing such reasonable calculator, he made some useful efforts for giving attentions for developing a radio and measuring instruments of all kinds. Therefore, it pressurized the Roberts for developing some computer connection kits. He initially prefers 8080 processors from the Intel due to its cheap prices. Finally, he planned to fit a bus system by the possible mean of inserting cards. The blueprints of such 8008 based computer were initially publishing in the newspaper named as Radio electronics.

Finally the MITS tied its hands with popular electronics appeared the kit in the name of Altair. This particular magazine was well receive by the people, so it pressurized the MITS to start mass productions. After the company, Altair got its status in the market; it makes the way for other computer to lost MITS dealers steadily for other companies.
